Hi everyone. I bought my first aircraft last year here in Sweden with a fresh annual. It’s a beautiful C182P from 1972. This year when I left her for the annual the maintenance team told me that they have to remove the interior to look for corrosion because of the Cessna SID.

The FAA recommends performing the inspections that are outlined in the Cessna supplemental inspection document (SID) 55-10-01, a copy of which can be found here.If either worn or incorrect hardware is found, the agency further recommends replacing it according to the instructions provided in the SID.

The additional SID inspection requirements are incorporated into the specific aircraft Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs). The following defects have been found in compliance with the SIDs for Cessna 100 Series aircraft. Click on the pictures below to view a larger version. For your convenience, I've provided two different packages: msfs2020-G3000-enhanced-std and msfs2020-G3000-enhanced-tbm. At this point, I recommend downloading the -tbm version for several reasons. First, the -std version will break the Cessna Citation Longitude (if you don't have the Longitude installed you can safely ignore this point). I am an aviation attorney representing several owners of Conquest aircraft that are deeply concerned about the SID program adopted by Cessna and your interpretation of it being mandatory in your Info Memorandum if the owner had not selected a maintenance program in their maintenance log prior to August 31, 2007.
